Ignorance is bliss. I'm often better with numbers than with words. Notes... maybe. I am quite deaf and rather silent. I let my music compensate.

eventful weekend

saturday morning, after my pre-employment physical exam, i proceeded to dlsu to inquire about my transcript. more problems to fix but they don't seem that difficult. i had to prepare myself for the more fateful events of the day.

after finally getting rid of IRQ errors in dogi's pc by converting the pc from ACPI to Standard in the Device Manager (just to remind myself in the future), i left the mendoza residence and proceeded to walter mart for the gathering. there present, yaluts, cholo, and thad with sir driver.

anonas, cubao, local tricycle drivers don't know where freedom park is. we were looking for freedom bar. we actually missed it since we were looking at the right side which apparently was the wrong side. on the way back, it was on the right side. haha.

as we arrived, i noticed another van just arrived and a familiar face. we bought our tickets and were offered mint. one word: cute. i handed adi the delivery for drew. had sisig for dinner before entering the bar.

the performances were good and some were even great. the first band sound checked with Sex Pistols' Anarchy on the UK. they sounded great. they should have played the whole thing. moving on, the only bad thing i recalled was either a flat tuning or an effects setting that wasn't configured well. all else, great.

the show continued with us four on the bar. oh yeah. through the night i had only 2 stallions. thad, with no money, had iced tea, tequila sunrise, and red temple. -_- yaluts and cholo won some minor prizes. a magazine and a flyff cd with 2 posters.

as i said, the performances were great as anticipated with the jrock covers in the same way, the 80s songs. we expected at least one x japan cover and on my way back from a trip to the restroom outside, i heard a tune, distinct from the rest. as i took my seat, thad did the X sign. later, another band included Welcome to the Jungle in their 80s medley.

nearing the end of the show, adi left her bag on the table we've transfered to since we were near the stage. they were to perform next. what puzzles me the most is that she had 5 drumsticks. and what keeps playing in my head is the song honestly since the crowd sang along. cholo went home ahead.

at the end of the program, after a number of times the japan foundation was mentioned--as it was a sponsor--reminding me of my project at work, the ipod raffle was next. excitment. 034. i had 035. i gave yaluts my money when we bought tickets. he had 034. metallic orange ipod.

it couldn't have been any better. had i won, i wouldn't be rocognized by anyone and i'm not even a member of the forums. go yaluts. you rock! after some hand shaking and socializing by our instant star, we went home. i took the ipod home for security reasons and delivered it to yaluts this morning at walter mart where i purchased a can of metallic black spray paint and rough sand paper for my bass guitar. given the events of last night, were need to do some serious practicing and i had to fix my bass.

i only had maybe 2 hours of sleep since i got home at around 2:30. it's nice how going to Mass at 6:30 AM really does give some blessings. or at least some positive hope.

the spray painting will have to wait as dogi forwarded an email regarding an audition. i contacted the organizer and we're set on friday, 6:15PM (changed from 3:15PM since i will have work hopefully until 5 that day).

destiny.

i've been listening to x japan today. thad lent me his cd of blue blood. fun, i made sure that the file names and ID3 tags in the mp3's are in japanese characters where appropriate.
