Ignorance is bliss. I'm often better with numbers than with words. Notes... maybe. I am quite deaf and rather silent. I let my music compensate.

7 is a good number

can’t believe it’s been a month since i ranted how a month ending on a thursday kinda sucks because it felt like a weekend the next day but there was still a friday. then i realized how fitting a month ending on a sunday is. yes, it won’t be a weekend tomorrow—a monday, even—but that means i’ll close the week and the month on a blessed sunday.

i also realized today how amazing this end of july is. being the feast day of st. ignatius of loyola, and a sunday, we sang fr. ramirez’s (as i learned yesterday) interpretation of Take and Receive. it also felt so good in that it fits today’s Gospel reading. even better, later today, mhae and i got to see the movie, ignacio de loyola (which i also learned to be now showing in theaters thanks to odessa’s post last thursday). the part where he began reciting the words of his “take and receive” prayer, i almost got teary eyed.

it was a good day, with a thanksgiving lunch for tito nonong’s recovery from earlier this month. mhae and i also got to go out on a mall date today and that should cover this month.

it was all good this month, although the not so good would be some of the things that teach us to move on, like vince’s last day last friday. it really hit me hard and i’m sad that i didn’t get to do anything for that not to happen, or even say a proper farewell. nevertheless, things were mostly going good and in repair mode at work…and a couple of weeks of speaking english only among my cubiclemates and making the most of promos as office snacks and pasalubongs.

choir stuff was a bit more than usual and better, too. i got to sing in 8(?) Masses this month. practices with pemc and with the “joint choir” are turning out great as far as i’m concerned. the music ministry as a whole, well, let’s just say that thanks to froiland and mike ruga, i think we’re close to that healing part. and with kuya jo, that one sunday afternoon to evening hangout with him, i think there was the slightest bit of healing and it meant so much for me and for mhae.

some home fixing got done this month, the most significant’', i think, would be the stair light bulb. mama and papa’s room’s aircon broke down, though. still, that led to mama pushing through with her long desire of tidying up their room.

oh, tech stuff was fulfilling this month with new harddrives—albeit not getting to use them as i intended to yet—and a lot of windows 10 upgrades.

i’m liking the push this month had. i hope to gain momentum and close out the year great. but yeah, take it day by day, month by month.
